A
brief description of some of the popular recreational level classes we teach
Advanced Open Water:
The Advanced Open
Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba
skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to
get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision
of your PADI instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops
new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun
scuba diving. You’ll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives that
introduce you to:
-
Underwater navigation
-
Deeper water diving (typically anywhere from 18-30 metres/ 60-100 feet)
- A sampler of three more
Adventure Dives of your choice (wreck, night, peak performance buoyancy and
much more
Rescue Diver:
“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue
Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on
what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if
they occur. The fun part about this course is rising to challenges and mastering
them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end,
say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.
Dry Suit: (A popular class to extend your diving season)
Want to stay warm and toasty on a dive? Then dive dry. Yes!
Unlike a wetsuit, a dry
suit seals you off from the outside water and that keeps you warm! Even in
surprisingly cold water.
Dry suits let you dive more challenging dive sites, and extend
your dive season. When you have the right cold
water scuba diving attire, you can stand up to the elements and take
advantage of the generally better visibility offered by winter months—especially
at inland dive sites such as quarries, lakes, sinkholes and caves etc. As a dry
suit diver, you’re equipped to scuba dive some of the world’s incredible dive
sites in the world’s cooler regions that are best enjoyed in a dry
suit even in their warmer months.
Dive Master
Looking for the first step in working with scuba
as a career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational
scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a
PADI Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your
skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your
leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist
instructors with student divers. PADI Divemaster is the prerequisite
certification for both the PADI
